Pumpkin Flowers

The last of the 4 cards that I made at Nancy's - I was finished this one but it needed something so when I brought it home I changed the ribbon from black to this striped ribbon I got from one of Jody's shares. I used some of the striped ribbon on a card when I was at Nancy's one time so when I saw that Jody had another share for it - I needed it! I also added the small sentiment from PTI's Mixed Messages.

It's Saturday so I'm at the Bloomin' Inn - hopefully having a grand time .... but I scheduled this post with the new scheduling function that blogger has.

Supplies
Stamps: Beautiful Blooms, Mixed Messages - PTI
Paper: certainly celery, really rust, whisper white, SEI Black Orchid
Ink: really rust, certainly celery, Momento black tuxedo
Accessories: striped ribbon, Amanda Blu brads

Bloom

This is a pretty simple card that I made using the same color scheme as yesterday with the SEI Black Orchid paper. Not much stamping but I do really like the look of it and how the patterned paper didn't need the stamping as it add so much.

A busy day for me. I have to work in the am then for the pm, my production team and myself are heading over to the Golf Dome for a teambuilding activity that is going to include a golf lesson - 1 hr golf swing and 1 hr putting clinic. I organized the event and thought this would be fun. Then to the clubhouse for some drinks and food. Then I have to met Sabrina and Roberta at my house for 5:30 to head out to the Bloomin' Inn for our retreat weekend. I've scheduled a couple of posts to blogger for the weekend so there will be things to look at - also I am nearing 25K hits so I will have blog candy next week in conjunction with the Hanna Stamps release on June 6th.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Supplies
Stamps: Spiral Bouquet - Paper Trey
Paper: pumpkin pie, certainly celery, basic black, whisper white, SEI Black Orchid
Ink: pumpkin pie, Momento black tuxedo

Live your Butterfly Bliss

The Calgals (see sidebar) got together on Friday - plus my Mom who was in town for the weekend. I made 4 cards there that night. This is one of the them. I picked up an 8x8 paper pad from Mike's that I used. The paper pad is from SEI and is called Black Orchid - the epoxy sticker is also from the line. Mike's has started to carry a few more designer lines.

My weekend with my Mom was great. We stamp/scrap shopped on Friday, went to Nancy's on Friday for the Calgals meeting. Saturday was filled with clothes shopping and the then dinner at the Redwater with friends and off to the Broadway show 'Rent'. I'd never seen Rent didn't even really know what it was about - I do have mixed feeling about it. It is always great to see a live musical, however this one was a bit strange...... it doesn't live up to shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Cats or Mama Mia.

Mom left on Sunday at noon, after I took her to the airport I put my PJs back on, found Grey's Antamony finale on the CTV website as I missed it (ABC doesn't allow Canadians to see the full episodes) - sat in front of my computer and watched it. It was so so so GOOD. I can't wait for next season. In my searching, I found a website that has a ton of tv on it Surf the Channel - so I went on to watch about 5-6 episodes of Season 4 of One Tree Hill. I missed that season however, I've seen the current one when they went ahead 4 years right through college/university. I thought that was a good move as so many series fail when the cast goes to college. - the whole point of this story is to tell you that I made an additional 8 cards for a total of 12 this weekend. I will have lots to show you soon. I also have all those double page layouts (5) to photograph.... hopefully I will figure out a good setup for that soon. So, LLL&S should be a pretty active blog .... about time I know! - plus next week is a sneak peak week for Hanna Stamps..... where did May go?

Supplies
Stamps: Butterfly Kisses, Mixed Messages - PaperTrey
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Taken with Teal, Memento Black Tuxedo
Paper: basic black, tempting turquoise, SEI Black Orchid
Accessories: Imaginasce bazzill collection flower, SEI Black Orchid epoxy sticker on flower and faux brads, tempting turquoise ribbon

Embrace Life

This is the card that we sent off to Ian's Mom for Mother's Day. I waited and waited for my husband to do something as I figured she needed more than a phone call. He didn't so I made this card, got him to sign it and put it in Tuesday's mail so it will be late but the thought by me is there.

Our going away party for our friend's on Saturday was great. We got home at 3:30 am - I'm not used to late nights like that anymore. I finished my 5th scrapbooking design class last night. I am really enjoying scrapping now. I never thought I would say that. I am even going on a scrapbook weekend at the end of May with my girlfriend, Sabrina. I hope to do up the rest of my wedding album and get a start on our vacation album and Xmas album.

I had some supplies left over from the Ginger Blossoms project from April's stamp club on my desk so I used the remaining papers on this layout plus I had the flowers watercolored from that night when I showed the girls how to use an aquabrush. (The ginger blossoms project will be posted shortly as I have photographed it now)

Supplies
Stamps: Embrace Life
Paper: river rock, ruby red, groovy guava, whisper white

A Special Goodbye!

I am going to try blogging a bit more often as I got a bit of razzing from the Cal-gals yesterday. If you don't know who the Cal-gals are Nancy, Allison and Tracy's blogs are all linked on my right side bar now so you can easily see what their are up too.

This is my first scrapbooked page that I have ever posted on my blog. It is not from the design class that I have been taking lately from Christy Riopel but rather a page I put together last night for a scrapbook for friends of ours that are moving to Australia. One of our mutual friends took it upon herself to get pictures from all their friends and put together a Goodbye Scrapbook for them. I, of course, choose to do my own page.

My intention of the page was to relay the message on how special our wedding day was and how great it was to have good friends like Mike and Annette their to share our day. (If you click on the picture it will enlarge it so you can see my journalling message!)

I am really going to have to work on photographing 12x12 pages - it's really tough. I did this one as a bird's eye view. If you do photograph your scrap pages, please leave me comments/tips on how you do it!

Supplies
Paper: Bazzill Crimson and Raven, Basic Grey Scarlett Letter

Hey Sunshine

Hanna's got on a little SPF (mini set SPF 50 to be released at midnight tonight) and is catching some rays. Did you notice my new paper? It is the new coredinations paper. I've sanded it and you can see the core color in real life but not so much on this card. I'm going to have colors that have more distinctive core colors. I've got 2 packs of the 8 1/2 x 11 in the Roy Gib V and Mod colors. Really nice paper to work with it has some slight texture and the wait is a little bit thicker than bazzill.

Supplies
Stamps: SPF 50, Things Hanna would say - Hanna Stamps
Paper: coredinations, staples 110#
Ink: brilliance, copic markers
Accessories: distressed strips embossing folder, hiedi swapp ghost flower, Imaginsce Envy brad, Mike's ribbon
