Just one more week....

My SU is order is apparently on time for shipping and due to arrive by Feb 5. So, that means I have a week left to wait ... patiently. I got a lot done in getting my new stamp room in order. I also found time to enter a copy orders for new supplies.

Scrappin' Great Deals has new Cuttlebug supplies in and I HAD to have more A2 folders. There prices are great and the best part is that they are Canadian. I spent enough to get free shipping but I also bought some Bazzill Bling cardstock.

Have you visited Paper Pretties - great new business and you can get in now to her new card class in a box. I'm so excited for my first box to arrive - it is to ship on March 1. Christie Ortman has started this new venture and she is going to focus on doing Bellas her first year of card class in a box. I'm so excited - I found Stamping Bella stamps last week and right now am going I want this one and that one. Emily is from Canada (outside of TO), her blog is great to read. She has added some new bellas and seem to be adding more and more. I've seen her Bellas described on Splitcoast Stampers aka SCS as 'Barbies for big girls'. I am looking forward to using some of these bellas as thank-you's for the women that will make my wedding day possible!

I'm going to work in my stamp room again tonight - I hope with 2-3 nights more worth of work I'll be done and then I'll be stamping. I haven't used my Cuttlebug yet just admired it from a far!

Generous People

I decided back in October to walk in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer this July. The walk takes place throughout the neighbourhoods of Calgary over July 27-29, 2007. It is a 60 km walk to raise awareness and funds to aid in research and prevention of breast cancer. My Mom also decided to come out from Regina and participate in the walk.

On Tuesday, I got my address book on the Weekend site together and sent out my first email to my friends, family, co-workers and associates for donations. I asked them to perhaps donate a dollar for every kilometer that I am going to walk. Well, there has been some generous donations as I've raised $570 in just 5 donations. The people in this city are amazing. Thanks to Brian Schulz, Marc Johnson, Tom Bonnah, Roy Goertz and my future father-in-law, Dan Tompkins. At this rate, I will reach my goal of $3,000 before I'm even half done my training.

I've taken the plunge

I NEED to get back into stamping, I have a room of supplies and I haven't made a thing in 2006 if you don't count my '06 xmas cards. I am going to clean up which means unpack my new stamp room tonight and then patiently await my Stampin Up supplies. Yup! I did it! I became a demo with the new mini starter kit. I figured I had a lot to buy for the wedding this year as I not only want to make my invites but also the favors so I might as well be the one to get the benefits.

I'm considering asking some friends that are new stampers and scrappers to start a monthly stamp club. I would need 8 as I make 9 - I'd teach them 2 new techinques or projects a month at my house for 9 months in the year providing the supplies for these 2 things however, the catch is that they would spend $25 on SU stuff before S&H + tax each time we meet then they each also would be a 'guest hostess' for the demo and be able to get the $20 free credit and choose a level 1 set. 9 x $25 = $225 - 8 needed as I'd be the 9th.

So, if you are reading this and want to be part of my stamp club - please email me.
