Blog Candy

Well my wedding has come and gone and we finally have our house organized and back looking like the home we lived in before the wedding took control of our lives. I'm not sure how many realize that I started a new job on the 4th of September and then the wedding was the 29th of September so its been a busy 6 weeks for me.

I hope to download the camera tonight and get new things up for my one or two followers. I have a 6 am flight tomorrow to Edmonton then we are driving 5 hours to the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range as that is the area I am now a production engineer for EnCana. I will be staying in the operator camp on the base for the rest of the week as we do some gas well reviews with the operations team. So, there will be no stamping time. I was hoping to get some images stamped and perhaps take along my markers and try to get a little something going - if not then I will be reading in our downtime.

Canada Post has officially lost my Hanna Stamps. Kristi mailed me a new set last week so hopefully they will arrive this week and I can fulfill my design team duty and create a few things with Hanna.

Because I'm going to be away and I haven't had any blog candy in awhile nor have I been a very good craft blogger. I am going to offer up a treat (aka bribe) to get my readers back with me. I have one last 'Delight in Life' set from Sell-a-bration left new and unmounted!

To enter my blog candy - leave me a comment here telling me when you were married, what were your wedding colors and whether or not you changed your name. (I did and I think I'm done the process now - just my passport and mortgage left) If you aren't married tell me what you visualize your wedding colors to be. Blog candy will be open until Sunday, October 21 at 12 noon MST.

Post will remain on top until blog candy is over.

oh oh oh I so wanted this set but never got it!!!

I got married on June 1, 1991 and our colour was purple. I know, so NOT me anymore. But that's OK. I loved it at the time.

I did change my name... kind of wish I would have kept my maiden name in there as well to honour my Dad as he had only daughters.

Congratulations on getting married! How wonderful.

I was married on July 13,2000. Since it was my second time around, I wore cream and had a small get together afterwards.
I did take my husbands name as well.
Once again, congratulations and thank you for sharing the awesome candy.

Congrats on being a newlywed! I was married on February 12, 2000. My color was navy blue. I had a small wedding in the Smokey Mountains, and only one attendant, so I told her to pick something in either hunter green or navy blue and I'd plan around it. She picked navy, so I had the chapel design my flowers around that.

Again, congrats and thanks for the chance to win! I love that set!

Well I've been married forever. I got married on August 10, 1969! I had what was called a rainbow wedding. Each of my attendants wore a different pastel color - pink, yellow, blue, green, apricot & lavender. It was very pretty. Yes I did take my husbands name. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your hubby.

I already have this set...but if I win you can give it to Nancy ;0)

I was married on May 3, 2001. We actually did not have a color. We went to Maui and got married all by ourselves and picked out our clothes when we got there. I guess we kinda had colors...we both wore a navy blue Hawaiian print. :0)

My husband & I married 43 yrs. ago (in Nov.) - boy, how time flies! We traveled to another town to get married, so no wedding colors, or big wedding. I was so shy I wouldn't have done it otherwise! And, of course I took his last name - sure didn't want to be burdened with having to spell 2 last names!
Congratulations on your marriage - may you have many happy years!!!

Congrats on your marriage, you look gorgeous and very happy. I have been married for almost 30 years having married in April 1978. My attendants wore a fairly bright green outfit of cullots, chiffon blouses and a silk cream and autumn coloured tabard colours over the top. Very fashonable for the time. Thanks for the chance.

Congratulations on your marriage, I wish you much happiness, good health and love for eternity!

Am I the only single one posting?? Things just did not work out that way at the time. I am a blue freak, so I would have chosen a blue of some shade, navy is my black and I could never walk down an aisle of people staring at me, too shy, I would have had a very personal private ceremony under the the moon & stars.

Wow fab giveaway! I was married on April 2, 2005. My colors were periwinkle and silver, very understated. I did change my name, which I wasn't thrilled with but we had a baby a year ago and so I guess it's best that we all have the same name.

First off, I adore this set and never ordered it! Love it! Wink wink! I remarried 2 years ago Oct. 24, after 10 years living together, we figure the dress rehersal was over! We had a tradtional Hawaiian wedding on the beautiful beach of Ke ke Beach in Kauai. I wore a French Vanilla full length flowing skirt and a pretty lace top (it looked like one piece) It did reat in the water too! My hubby wore white slacks and a Hawaiian shirt with some blue in it to match his eyes. We each wore a lei, his was the traditional man's wedding one. all green leafs very long. Mine with gorgeous Tuberose in it and some Plummeria. No shoes needed, barefoot all the way! White cake with orchids on top, made by an amzing cake designer on the north shore of Kauai. Yum!
The beach and the ocean were our colors! I have not changed my passport and such, but I use his name. We had a golden seal pup attend our wedding, he was the guest of honor! In Hawaii this is considered a blessing. Blessings to you and your hubby! Deb

I got married 6 years ago, October 13th. Our wedding was beautiful, the perfect fall day. My 3 bridesmaids all wore different colors; lilac purple, eggplant purple, and an olivey gold green. And yes I did change my name, though I don't let people call me Mrs. Arnold, I only have them call me Cheryl.

I am married 35 years now....go read this post from last week
http://papertango.blogspot.com/2007/10/october-11-1972.html

I did change my name because my other name was so long and unusual and unfortunatley had some bad baggage locally with it, so change was good. Everyone calls me just jan now.

I was married on June 9, 1990, our colour was teal and yes I did change my name.

I love that stamp set!

You were a beautiful bride! Congrats to both of you:) I was married 3/26/76 and the colors were pink & white. YUUK - I'm sure the ushers HATED wearing those pink accessories. Not my taste anymore, but I thought it was absolutely fabulous at the time. I changed my name because his is only 4 letters and quick to write checks:)

I'm not married yet. I'm only 19 so I'm not really in a hurry. I think my colors will be blue for a wedding dress and maybe a shade of purple or tan for the reception.

I think I would change my name.
Congrats on your wedding

Your dress is beautiful! Wow...I think I saw it when I was wedding dress shopping with my 20 year old daughter (eegads, I'm NOT ready for this!) I was married 23 years ago...a June wedding! My colors were light blue and white...lots of lace. Yes, I took my hubby's last name, but it didn't change my initials...I'm still at the end of the line alphabetically!

I married 5 years ago on 8/10 on a Ferry Boat. Our colors were lavender, white, and plenty of sparkle. I dreamed about a princess wedding all my life & it was definitely a wedding fit for a princess. (thanks dad:) Both names are only 4 letters so at first I'd hyphenate both. Now I usually just use my husbands.

Hi and congratulations.
I was married on August 16, 2003 and our colors were silver and candy apple. My dress was white with silver details.
I did change my name and I don't regret it.
Congrats again.
